Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Research is important as it leads to our forces being provided with the best and most up to date equipment. Radar research carried out in Dorset moved inland to Malvern 70 years ago for added protection during war time.
Radar research continues today at Malvern and for over 38 years I have worked on pioneering and challenging radar research and have enjoyed every minute of it.
I am a keen mountain biker but I have dusted off my old road bike last ridden 11 years ago, given it a service and a 20 mile run.
Sunday 15 April - a bit of serious training completing the 100Km "Hell of the North Cotswolds" off road mountain bike ride (rocky mud tracks, ploughed fields, and country lanes) in just under 8 hrs. Soft seat required Monday!
Saturday 19th May - Have taken two weeks off to look after my wife after some major surgery but have managed to get some training in. 75Km the other day at an average of 24.3Km/hr. Hope to complete the whole event but may have to revert to plan B joining the group at Bath. Cycling legs in good order and the new tyres look fab!
