Roz's Himalayan Trek and Tiger Conservation Challenge!

Himalayan trek and tiger conservation experience · 7 October 2017 to 19 October 2017 ·
I'm thrilled to be undertaking an amazing and unique personal challenge, aiming to raise £7500 for Cats Protection's Nottingham Adoption Centre.
From 7th to 19th October 2017, I will be part of a team trekking through the Lesser Himalayas, to raise much needed funds for Cats Protection. We will be trekking around 14km per day, taking around 6-8 hours, at altitudes of up to 2842m.
After the trek is complete, we'll be taking part in a tiger conservation project at the Kanha National Park. I'll be learning about the natural environments these beautiful endangered big cats, help teach local children about the conservation of tigers and also get my hands dirty and help with the conservation efforts in the Park; I'll be helping with weeding, tree-planting and habitat maintenance, trying to help keep the endemic plants safe from invasive species, in and effort to prevent changes to the ecological balance.
All monies raised from my challenge will go to help Cats Protection Nottingham Adoption Centre, to help with education, neutering and rehoming to try and help cats and kittens in need.
