Update on 10th May
Well I promised to run in fancy dress if I managed to raise over £300 for FCDC and thanks to all your generosity I exceeded this target. I therefore kept my promise and completed the run in a warm, fluffy parrot costume.
I took it very slowly as I hadn't done much training; had a calf injury; and was really really hot in the costume.. so am a tad embarassed to say I took 1hr 5 mins but at least I finished (and didn't come last!)
It's still not too late to donate to the Family Centre.....
Thanks
Roz
========
On May 9th 2010, I'm running / jogging / crawling the Bristol 10K to raise money for the Family Centre for Deaf Children (www.fcdc.org.uk).
The Family Centre is a great charity that supports deaf children and their families in the local area. Without the Family Centre, being a parent of a deaf child would be very isolating. The Family Centre has helped my family in many ways; organising events so that we can meet other families with deaf children; providing sign language lessons; providing advice, support and access to a vast range of information.
But FCDC is a very small charity (all the staff squeeze into a small room at a school) and this year they really need your finanical support so please do dig deep... blow those cobwebs off your credit and debit cards and get donating... and don't forget to gift aid it too. I'm putting an optimistic fundraising target of £200 but if I manage to raise £300 then I vow to run in fancy dress - so if you have any ideas as to suitable fancy dress theme, then do let me know.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks
