Nick and I are hoping to complete a variety of big events in a super challenge for 2013 in aid of LAM Action.

Even at my age I know my mum and sister will worry about me yet again pushing myself to complete various events, but I also hope they will be proud of me.  Having registered for these events I was thinking about which charity I should raise money for.  A couple of weeks ago a colleague of mine, Leanne Lillywhite, was diagnosed with a very rare lung condition called Lymphangioleiomyomatosis.  LAM Action is a small charity that works hard to raise money to support patients with this disease and their families and also raises much needed money to help with research, so for me that was decision made..... my charity is LAM Action, and I urge you to sponsor me to do these 4 events and to help this charity to support Leanne and others with this disease.  Every penny will urge me on when I am feeling I cant go on.

Nick and I have both entered to do the following this year

April 14th - Brighton Marathon (26.2 mile run)

April 27th - The Swimathon (5000m swim for Nick and a 1500m swim for Roz)

May 11th - The Ridgeway 40 (40mile walk to be completed in under 15hrs)

September 15th - The Great North Run (13.1 mile run)

October 20th - Amsterdam Marathon (26.2 mile run)

In addition to this Nick is also hoping to complete IRONMAN UK on August 4th , which is the legendary event that involves a 2.4mile swim followed by a 112mile cycle ride finished off with yet another marathon run, all in less than 17hours.

No amount is too small, and I know that LAM Action and Leanne will be as grateful as Nick and I for every penny. THANK YOU.
