Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online, to help children in the Darfur crisis and the Tsunami disaster.
On May 29th I am climbing (or attemtpting to climb) Ben Nevis in Scotland, for needy children all around the world, particularly those in the Darfur crisis and the tsunami victims, where innocent children are suffering and so many do not even know why.
As most of you know, I am NOT the most fit person, so this will be a real challenge for me - my aim is to climb to the summit of the highest mountain in the UK, and due to my complete laziness I have not done as much training as I could and should have!;o) So please give your support, encouragement, and most importantly your money to help provide homes and water for needy children.
My update: Woohoo!! I did it folks - right to the very top! :o) I have to say it was the hardest thing I have ever done, but well worth it when I think of where the money for it is going. It took 10.5hrs up and down again, through 5 different weather conditions, including several feet of snow, sleet and hail in the face, rain and eventually hot sun!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Ulfa Aid will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. I really appreciate all your generosity! Ruchi xxx
