Saving Lives Through Your Support. Each life-saving mission costs £3,500 and on average, we are called to at least five emergencies everyday. It is only thanks to the generosity of the communities that we serve that we are able keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives.

Did you know the air ambulance costs around £92,000 per month to maintain the service - approx £3,000 per day.

The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance receives no funding from central government or the national lottery. It relies solely on voluntary donations.

The air ambulance is usually airborne within three minutes. It flies at 120mph (2 miles a minute) and from Thruxton Air Base it reaches most locations in Hampshire in fifteen minutes. Flights to Isle of Wight take a little longer. A typical mission lasts about ninety minutes.

This valuable service can really mean life or death to it's casualty, whether it's a road accident, a sporting accident or any other reason you need to get to the best hospital for your injury and FAST!!
