In the past 21 years, over 21,000 people with epilepsy have died suddenly and died too young. SUDEP Action’s Prevent21 campaign shines a light on this shocking disaster. With a significant change of attitude, culture, and action towards epilepsy - many lives CAN be saved. Knowledge saves lives.

Story

On the 21st July 2009 our World changed forever, because it was on that day that we lost Tina. Over the last few months I have watched Karen and Tina's parents go through what I can only describe as the most painful times that anyone could ever go through. No one should have to go through that experience; to loose a sister or daughter at the age of 37 is just wrong.

Epilepsy Bereaved is a small little known charity who have supported Karen and her parents in their darkest hours. I have seen (and felt) the pain of losing Tina, and if I can make just one more person aware of the dangers of SUDEP or raise one extra pound toward their cause then I would feel like I have helped just that tiny little bit.

I know I have set myself a huge target, but with your help I hope I can reach it.  I am going to be running the Silverstone half Marathon on the 14th March 2010, and the London marathon on the 25th April 2010.

Every penny counts..... please fish out any loose coins from the bottom of your bag or look down the back of the sofa, I really appreciate your support.

Tracey xx
