We fund vital research to ensure effective treatments for all.

Story

We are running at the Liverpool Womens Hydro Active Challenge to raise money for Joe and everyone else with Cystic Fibrosis.

Most of you know that my son Joseph was born in 2004 and was quickly diagnosed as having Cystic Fibrosis.   Joseph was given two life saving operations as he was born with a blocked bowel.  He is now very well and physically strong.

Joseph endures a strict daily routine both morning and night which involves inhalers, antibiotics (oral and nebulised) physiotherapy, vitamins, ant-acids for reflux and medicine all day to digest food.

Cystic Fibrosis is the most common inherited, life threatening disease. It affects more than 7,500 people in the U.K . Each week in the U.K , five babies are born with the condition and three people die from it. The life expectancy is only 31 years.

There is no cure for Cystic Fibrosis at present.  Scientists have identified the gene and are working away at improving treatments and replacing the faulty gene with a healthy one.  Please dig deep to raise vital funds for a cure.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cystic Fibrosis Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Lets see off C.F!!

Thanks for reading this page and for your support.
