Palace to Palace 2018 · 7 October 2018 ·

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

I am riding the Palace to Palace cycle (Buckingham Palace to
Windsor Palace) to raise money for the Princess Trust.  Why you may ask, well having been told in no
uncertain terms by the doctor to look after my dodgy ankle and try and stop
running, I got into the whole road cycling malarkey some 6 months ago including
the ‘mandatory!’ Lycra.  Still not quite
sure I carry off the Lycra look (possibly slightly better fitting than 6 months
ago!) but I have taken to the cycling.

So this felt like a great opportunity to test myself at a
longer distance ride (45 miles) and more importantly raise money for a
fantastic charity.  The Princes Trust
carries out amazing work helping young vulnerable people get their lives back
on track through life changing opportunities, and importantly empowering them
to get jobs, education and training.  The
Trusts work is inspirational in helping these vulnerable young people and
relies on contributions and volunteers support.

This is a great cause so if you could please spare a few
quid and sponsor my ride.

Thanks

Rupert
