Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Next Autumn my good friends Steve Smith , Rodda Thomas and I  are embarking on a 1300km ride through the Himalayas on old Royal Enfield Bullets. I lost  my Dad, Chris Clarke way too early at the age of 56 to a Glioblastoma Brain Tumour. He had a great spirit of adventure and fun which he has passed on to me! I'm really excited to be going on this trip in memory of my Dad whilst at the same time helping to raise awareness of this terrible devastating disease and raise money for Brain Tumour research. It is woefully underfunded and treatments lag seriously behind other cancers.Too many people are being faced with the devastating diagnosis each year - brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer and five-year survival remains low at just 19.8%. I hope you can support me in helping to raise in excess of £5000

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
