Acorns Children's Hospice Trust - Severn Valley Cycle Challenge · 22 August 2010 ·

Acorns supports around 750 children and almost 1,000 families every year. The charity needs to raise £11 million each year to provide its lifeline care. Your support means Acorns can continue to be there for local families facing the unimaginable. Together, we are stronger.

Story

Bewdley has become my second home, so when I heard about this challenge I felt I needed to be on it!

I'm from Birmingham originally so know about Acorns, an excellent organisation and I hope to raise lots of money for them.

However I do tend to dive into things without thinking... I was out of puff walking up the stairs the other day!!! And this challenge is a 20 mile bike ride, up and down hills to be completed in 5 1/2 hours... I might take a tent just in case I don't make it... Or an oxygen tank...

I'm using JustGiving because they will automatically collect  gift aid, giving Acorns that little bit extra. So please donate online if you can.

Wish me luck, I need it!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
