When I entered the ballot for the London Marathon I hadn’t really considered whether I would run for a charity or not if I was successful. Since being notified that I had been allocated a place I have become aware of the work that Helen & Douglas House do, partially as a result of them being the Caversham Heath GC Captain’s nominated charity for 2013. Having now taken the time to look at what they do in some detail I cannot think of a better recipient of any funds that I can raise.
