Most of you will know me and my story, but hopefully this will be shared and passed round and for those that dont know me this is why  your here! 

My name is Russell Williams, I'm 34 years old with a wife and young daughter, and in November 2008 aged 29, I suffered a fairly severe and completly unexpected heart attack whilst in work one day, at the time I was fairly fit and healthy, and my wife was 20 weeks pregnant! This was an incredibly scary time for us both, I was in one part of the hospital, she was in another having a scan! Thankfully after having an angiogram and 2 stents fitted I made a steady recovery and a few months later my daughter appeared safe and well.

It is without doubt down to the invaluable research and investigation by the B.H.F that I was able to receive such treatment and make the recovery that I have. So to find some way of supporting this critical work that has allowed me and so many others to carry on living, I've decided to run the Cardiff Half Marathon on October the 6th and raise as much money as possible.

I've been in training for this since February when it was a struggle to run half a mile, let alone a half a marathon! My goal is to complete the 13.1 miles in UNDER 2 hours! 

I understand times are hard, people are always asking for money for one reason and another, but I would appreciate any pennies or pounds you can spare, it all adds up!
