Story

After years of making excuses not to do it, I finally filled in the application form for the London Marathon ballot this year - thinking there was no chance of getting a place. Amazingly I got in and it's great as it allows me to raise money for an amazing cause that is so very close to my heart.

Most people reading this will know Henry's story - how a baby born 3 months early weighing just 1lb 10 oz fought for survival with the help of the amazing team on Buscot Ward, and how our wonderful 5 year old is now thriving and enjoying life just like any other.

For those who aren't so familiar you can read more about Henry's story at www.bibs.org.uk/stories/Henry

Please dig deep and give me some incentive to run 26.2 miles through the streets of London. Right now BIBS are raising money to buy a Giraffe Omnibed - a state of the art incubator that provides easy access to an intensive care baby, enabling care to be given to the sickest babies with the least possible stress. Henry spent the first 4 weeks of his life in one and it made a huge difference. Omnibeds cost more than £30,000 so every penny you can spare will be put to great use!!
