Action Against Hunger UK - The Corporate Challenge 10K · 7 September 2011 ·

We tackle the causes of hunger today to give children a healthy tomorrow

Story

A team of 16 people from the PMDs (MSC, IT, EO, HR, Finance and IT) are participating in a 10k corporate challenge sponsored run on Wednesday 7 September in Regent’s Park for Action Against Hunger (AAH) and the purpose of this email is to ask if you would sponsor us.

AAH is an international humanitarian organisation committed to ending child hunger and they hope to raise over £36,000 through The Corporate Challenge to help save the lives of malnourished children and their families.

As a severe food crisis sweeps across the Horn of Africa, an estimated 10 million people are faced with extreme food shortages, mass livestock losses and protracted drought-like conditions.

As a result of AAG's presence for nearly 20 years in the area, they are in a position to scale up the nutrition programmes in order to treat more children suffering from life-threatening malnutrition in Wajid and the Somali capital Mogadishu.

At this time, AAH need to raise vital funds more than ever.  The funds that you donate can really make a difference and may be used to help those who are facing food insecurity in East Africa or to support one of AAH's other life-saving programmes.

Please donate to this very worthy cause - no matter how large or small.
