Ride Across Britain · 8 September 2018
During September 2018, I will be cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats with the intention of raising awareness and money for Mind, the mental health charity.
Mental health is an issue that can and does affect anyone, often when they are least expecting it. Exercise and especially cycling has helped me personally face some of these issues in recent years.
Riding for 9 days, an average of 110 miles a day, through 3 countries and through what ever the weather throws at me, every mile will take courage and determination to tackle this challenge. Yet this is still minor in comparison to what some people face during their lives.
My aim is to cycle the 980 miles via the Deloitte Ride Across Britain Challenge. I have already paid for my own entry fee and for all the logistics, so every penny that you kindly donate will go directly to "Mind".
Any help towards my fundraising target would be much appreciated but just as important, is the raising of awareness. I believe by undertaking this challenge, I will be doing both.
Thank you,
Ruth
