Story

Hi! It's Ryan. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

During the month of June, I traveled to Arusha, Tanzania, for a microfinance internship. While there, I met an incredibly inspiring woman named Anna Mwaja. The more we spoke of her life story, her family, and her ambitions, the more I wanted to support her. I even visited her home and ate delicious avocado there!

Anna was born in 1965. She has three children, all unemployed. She has had to support them herself as her husband passed away when the children were growing up.

Anna lives alone with her four-year-old granddaughter. She makes bracelets, bags, Batiques and even sells small items such as soaps and salts to her neighbors in the marketplace. Currently, her biggest wish is to build a shop on her property to provide for her granddaughter and live a more stable life.

Please help fund the construction of Anna's shop, which she has been unable to do!
