My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running the Aberdeen 10K for GHR-Grampian Hospital Radio. I say run but it will more likely be run 0.5K, walk 0.5K then try to find a shortcut to the end (golf buggy etc.)......

I try to get to the radio when I can, but some of the work others do there is really valuable, as a good free source of entertainment for those who have to be in the hospital.

The countdown is on to the race (20th May) and despite starting some preparation for it, no doubt I will still be huffing and puffing through it (even just thinking about it).

So I would appreciate any donations possible (know full well that by donating you are contributing to a good cause and a comedic/farcical attempt for me to run further than the length of myself!)

Either way it's going to be a good laugh for someone

I will also try to update the page with ridiculous pictures of me in training, surely incentive enough

Well that's it. Finished last week in 1 hour 10 minutes. Not bad for me, but apparently 1 hour after the winner! Sore feet afterwards and sunburn throughout, but managed to get to the end. Have posted some pictures and videos as promised to those sponsoring

4.5 miles done last night. Hoping to take that up to 5 miles by the weekend then do some trial runs of the full course next week. 10 days to go! Any further donations greatly appreciated, even just a few pence! More photos to follow soon

GHR and its childrens station, Radio Rainbow, broadcasts to the patients of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Aberdeen Maternity Hospital , Roxburghe House and the Royal Aberdeen Childrens Hospital. GHR has no paid employees and no regular income, existing soley on the generosity of sponsors and donations received. GHR is a registered Scottish charity.
