Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

At a stroke it happened - my father-in-law's life changed forever.Arthur, a fit, non-smoker suffered a severe Stroke in January 2011.After two months in hospital Arthur came back home. Sadly, slowly but surely he deteriorated and is now living with me, his daughter and his grandchildren in a warm, loving environment.

I am taking on the challenge of the London Marathon to raise funds for The Stroke Association, as they have assistated both Arthur and ourselves during this upsetting period.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So please dig deep - the price of a pint - for example would be ample.
