Story
Assalamu Alaykum.
On Saturday 8th October I will be climbing Scafell Pike with IMED Birmingham on behalf of SKT Welfare for their "Springs of Hope" project. Alhamdulillah last year SKT was able to help rebuild the Al Huda hospital and this year they are aiming to do more for our brothers and sisters in Syria. The "Springs of Hope" project aims to develop a complex in a Turkish town, close to the border with Syria, for orphans affected by the current situation in Syria. This building will primarily function as an orphanage however it will also house any remaining family of the orphans and will provide a platform for the families to gain independence and become more self-sufficient.
The horrors of war are developing constantly in Syria and everyday the situation becomes more dire. However, with the right intentions even the smallest of contributions can help to make lives better. Whether it be through flour to allow starved Syrians to make bread, rebuilding hospitals to aid those affected by war or orphanages to assist those who have escaped the conflict, any help will be beneficial to those who need it In Sha Allah.
