<p>Thanks for visiting the page. I have been brought out of my running retirement to take on the Liverpool Half Marathon on the 18th March 2012&nbsp;to raise money for an amazing and brave little girl called Holly Smallman.</p> <p>Holly has coped with illness from a very early age and was not given long to live when she was only 8 weeks old. She proved the doctors wrong but now spends her life fighting illness after illness, in and out of hospital wards and intensive care. Her needs are extremely complex&nbsp;resulting in her requiring 24 hour care from her devoted parents Gary and Hayley.</p> <p>We (myself and other fundraisers)&nbsp;are trying to raise &pound;20k&nbsp;for specialist equipment that will make Holly and her families life that little bit better. It is a high target but Rome wasn't built in a day and every little step will help us.</p> <p>Holly was not meant to live past her second birthday now here she is at 10 years old, proving everybody wrong and her bravery is truly inspirational. It has inspired me to put my shoes on in an attempt to raise money for her. Hopefully she will inspire you to help us reach our target.</p> <p>Many thanks to you all</p> <p>Ste</p>
