Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
To celebrate my friend's 50th birthday, Ken Watson, we wanted to do something different: so we decided to walk the full length of the Teesdale Way from Dufton in Cumbria to Redcar,100 miles in 4 days.
There are a number of reasons why we decided to do this:
- To prove that despite our advancing years we can still undertake a demanding physical challenge.
-The River Tees provides uswith the means to carry out our mutual sport of rowing so it seemed apt to link it to the walk.
- We want to make a real difference to the lives of people where water is a gift not just a means of recreation, the charity we are supporting will enable communities in Uganda to have safe drinking water & sanitation. In Uganda 5,000 children die each day of diseases caused by unclean water & poor sanitation. Your donation will help many families to move from sickness to health.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
