A group of about 30 cyclists will ride their bikes approx. 300km from Hue to Da Nang to raise money for a very worthwhile Charity. Last year we took part in the ride and helped the group raise US$50,000+ for Saigon Childrens Charity.

We have lived in Ho Chi Minh City for a long time and I have been involved with and seen many different charity organisations at work, some more efficient and effective than others. Saigon Children's Charity works in many different areas identifying poor and disadvantaged kids to learn vocational skills that will enable them to become productive members of the community and income earners for their families. This really is a case of teaching a man to fish rather than buying him a fish to eat.

By taking part in this cycling event to raise money for SCC we feel it is a very small effort on our part that will potentially change the future lives of many kids that would otherwise have no hope of a meaningful life. Any donation on your part large or small will be gratefully accepted and be rest assured all of us taking part in the ride keep close contact with the SCC to monitor the kids development and progress. Every $ donated goes to the charity as all the costs associated with the ride such as airfares, hotels & meals are paid for by individual riders from their own pockets.
