Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 4th November I fly out to Kenya to begin 2 years of Volutary Service Overseas www.VSO.org.uk I will be working at Ithiru Polytechnic (about 40 miles north of Nairobi). I am working in VSO's Secure Livelihoods Programme - This is aimed at stengthening the ability of disadvantaged people to make a viable living and contribute to the reduction of poverty in the Global South. I am giving my time and wonder if you would consider a donation towards the charity. I have already cycled up a Tour De France climb to Aime La Plagne a 21km climb with 21 hairpins and a total ascent of 1430m (4600ft). I have also completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks all to raise awareness of my cause. I will be posting news from my placement on a blog whilst I am away so save this link - http://sdvso.blogspot.com.

I have to raise £900 towards a charity to go on the VSO placement, but have set myself the challenge of doubling that.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
