More than one in three of us will get cancer. We all know someone close to us that is facing this fight. I decided to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support to ensure that no-one faces cancer alone. A donation of £24 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for an hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.

This is my first 10k run. I am running as part of the Purple Wave; over 1000 staff and students from the University of Manchester. Look out for us on the day and cheer us on!
