Story
Inspire Ethiopia a students in free enterprise project was initiated by two fervent economics students who are passionate about Africa as a developing continent. The key visions of the project are:
To empower the next generation of students in Ethiopia, a country that is rich in natural resources and strong in future prospects.
To encourage social enterprise as a way of aiding development in the Ethiopian community and to build a sustainable link for students in Ethiopia and Leicester.
Seeking to inspire our generation, the importance of self-sustaining and innovative local business start-ups are at the roots of Inspire Ethiopia.
How it works?
This June the SIFE volunteers will be embarking on a trip across the globe to empower young adults in Gondar University and the Gondar community
Through months of project planning and working in partnership with the Leicester-Gondar Link and Alchemy World(Ethiopian NGO) the Inspire Ethiopia team have developed challenging and creative workshops to inspire, challenge and encourage the students in Gondar to develop new enterprise skills and put them into practice by setting up an Enterprise Society within the university.
Our aim is not simply to send cash but to help local people solve long term challenges in economic development by empowering them. The best method of doing this is by being in Ethiopia to engage hands on in the programmes we are running.
This is where you can help us. We have been fundraising strongly in recent months in order to start the projects running at full pace and we would be grateful if you could make a donation in order for us to make this a sustainable project for future years to come.
'To inspire a continent is the dream' - So let’s be the difference.

Thank you in advance and best wishes from everyone at Inspire Ethiopia - SIFE Leicester.
