Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Husband was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in 2016 after going for a pre- operation blood test. He is still fighting it and we pray that one day he will be undetectable. It was such a shock to us and we had no idea how this would effect our future.
The timing of it all was awful, I guess no time is the right time to get this kind of news. My mother-in-law had only passed away 2 months before my husbands diagnosis. She also had a blood cancer and died from an infection. I don't really know how we made it through but somehow we did and will continue to do so.
Our daughter was only 4 years old at the time of diagnosis so this was very scary. She was also about to graduate from her nursery to school within a few weeks which is a big change as it is. We had to just carry on as normal for her sake and we take each day as it comes.
I feel so honoured to be running for team Leukaemia Care Uk and I really want to make a difference for people and raise as much as I can.
