For Macmillan Cancer Support. It all starts with a single step, or maybe a 5K.......

Team: Remembering Lynne Fraser
In 2012, after years of not running for more than a bus, I decided to dust off my running shoes and take part in the Bupa great Edinburgh run to support Maggies Centres. Why? Well you see earlier in the year someone very close to me, my best friend of nearly 20 years, was diagnosed with cancer, and maggie's centres were there to provide help and support that was required at this crucial time. At 28 years old this vibrant, lively, beautiful young woman endured pain and sickness beyond anything I can imagine and she was determined to face it head on, and to kick cancers ass.
Sadly, on April 6th 2013, at 29 years old Lynne lost her fight. While I am in tears as I type this I am determined (as are her other close friends and family) that Lynnes legacy will be as bold and vibrant as she was, and so this year I make it my goal to raise as much as I possibly can for her favourite charities in her name. We will start by running the Edinburgh 5K in May, the 10K in July and see where we go from there.....
There are many charities Id like to support with this effort. This page is for Macmillan Cancer Support, if you would rather donate to Maggies centres or the Beatson Oncology Unit you will find them linked through my teams page. Thanks
