Story
Hello Friends
I am running my first ever Marathon tomorrow. However, being a trader of Greek government bonds, my recent training has been more of the mental strength variety rather than of the physical "doing the hard miles" kind - but I still hope to go the distance and collapse in a heap at the finshing line this Sunday!!!
I have decided to run for the National Autistic Society, a fantastic organisation which raises awareness about Autism - generically, a group of disorders which stunts behavioural growth in children and for which there is no real cure. The NAS also provides excellent support to families caring for autistic children and assists with the range of challenges families face on a daily basis and through every stage of their children's lives.
My fundraising target is a not inconsiderable £5,000. I know it is ambitious, but I am hoping that a combination of the very worthy cause (1 in 100 children are thought to suffer from some form of Autism today, and any funds raised can go a very long way towards improving the lives of autistic kids in the UK) as well as the <delete as apropriate!> inspirational/sexy/comedic picture of me in running tights can inspire you to give generously. My aching thighs and throbbing Greece-addled brain will forever be grateful!
Cheers
Sadiq
