Grace House North East offers a range of specialist services to support children and young people who have complex disabilities and associated health needs, and their whole family.

Story

Staff and friends of the Student Recruitment and Business Partnerships department at the University of Sunderland are delighted to support the Grace House Children's Hospice Appeal with our sponsored bike ride on the 25th June 2010.

The event will raise money to build, equip and run an eight bed children's hospice for children across the North East of England.

The event is based on a challenging  55 mile circular route, mainly on dedicated cycle paths, from the University's City Campus, to Doxford Park, Hetton le Hole, Durham, Lanchester, Consett, Chester le Street, St Peter's and back to City Campus. In order to make the ride accessible to as many people as possible however, we have provide a shorter 22 mile variation of the route from Consett to Sunderland for inexperienced riders.

The current team includes:

Helen Cutting                              Katherine Jolley

David Donkin                              Sandra McLuckie

Martin Finlayson                         Karen Moody

Lorraine Gibson                         Jo Povey

Nicola Hopper                            Sue Reece

Megan Janes                              Adam Rennison

Kelly Foale                                  Lisa Winter
