Thanks for taking the time to visit STL's JustGiving page. STL have put together a team with the aim to raise as much money as possible for SpecialEffect by taking part in a Fire & Glass Walk event on 29 March 2012. SpecialEffect is a small West Oxfordshire charity dedicated to helping all young people with disabilities to enjoy video games and other creative interests through cutting edge technology - for rehabilitation, inclusion and pure fun! The charity specialises in Eye Control Technology. Imagine: You wake up after an accident. You can’t move anything except your eyes. And you can’t speak. That’s when SpecialEffect can help. Through eye-movement alone, they help people operate a computer for communication, independence, work and of course to experience the joy of games. Two of the young people the charity help are Charlotte and Tim. Tim has severe cerebral palsy and can be seen in this BBC coverage narrated by Dr Who David Tennant being helped by SpecialEffect Directior and Founder Mick Donegan, and shows the type of massive impact this small charity is having.
