Last year, one of our friends, Chris Clarence died - he was 36 - a lovely man with a young baby boy. We had only known him for a few years - he came into our life by accident - but he touched it in a way we can't describe and we will never forget him.
For the last days of his life, he was looked after in The Severn Hospice in Telford. His wife cannot say enough good things about the way they looked after him.
Andy and I decided that we wanted to raise money for the Hospice.
In September, Andy did the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon raising £630 which will pay for two days of care for two people.
Joe collects pennies and two pences and takes them in to the Hospice - he has raised £20.
I have raised £189.49 including Gift Aid on this page so far, plus another £39 from the parents at High Ercall School playground and £54.00 from the staff at Sutherland Business and Enterprise College in Telford who donated money instead of sending Christmas cards.
We would like to continue our efforts in 2010 and take our total to £2000.
We have lots of ideas for things we want to do - so watch this space!
