Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Sadly, Sue was diagnosed with a terrible illness in August 2008, but through it all, she rarely complained and stoically underwent many painful treatments with the true grit of her Yorkshire breeding. Her final days were spent at  Michael Sobell House in Northwood and in spite of the difficulties, her last few days largely free of pain.

You will all have your own memories of dear Sue who was such a kind and sweet person. I believe that everyone who met Sue, both personally and through business, liked her immediately and I think it was very much her unconscious thoughtful and selfless persona which left its mark on everyone. I attach above my favourite picture of Sue with cheetah cubs when she was on holiday in South Africa. Sue loved all animals, but cheetahs were her favourite and you can see from the picture her total joy and unalloyed pleasure on being able to stroke the young cubs.

I must mention here that during this and previous stays, I have been overwhelmed by the care consideration and professionalism shown by all the staff at Michael Sobell House. From her reception on the first day she arrived until her last day she was treated with love and dignity at all times. I know that I could not do their job as their patience and understanding appears limitless.

You may wish to read further about their work and will see that it can only continue with ongoing outside support. To my mind, this is a first class organisation whose standards of excellence have been a great comfort to very many patients and their relatives over a number of years. As I know that this is what Sue wanted, I have asked that the cost of floral tributes should instead be given to this worthy Charity.
