Story

Dear friends, colleagues and family,

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and an even bigger thank you if you are able go on and sponsor us.

Located in the heart of the South West Trains network, Naomi House children’s hospice is a charity that provides support to children and young people with conditions that mean they are unlikely to live to become adults.

SWT has supported Naomi House with its fundraising activities regularly over recent years. We hope that this 3 Peaks Challenge can keep the momentum going in this relationship.

So what is the 3 Peaks Challenge?

Well, in short it involves walking up the 3 highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales over a 24 hour period.   Admittedly we all enjoy the outdoors and you may say "why should I sponsor you for doing something so enjoyable??"  Well, the answer is simple, the 3 Peaks Challenge is physically very demanding and will require us to ascend around 10,000 feet, walk 26 miles in total with 475 miles of journey by road between peaks.

The Challenge will commence at 8am on the 29 June 2010 with the walk up Ben Nevis and, if all goes to plan, will finish before 8am on the 30 June.  Andrew, Les, Paul and Kevin will be doing the walking and Howard has kindly volunteered to be our chauffeur.

We would very much appreciate your support by means of sponsorship.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks in advance for your support,

Regards,

Andrew, Les, Paul, Kevin and Howard
