Autism Concern provides support and options to people in Northamptonshire affected by all forms of autism, helping them gain independence and control of their lives.

Story

Well, here we go again.

Temporary amnesia has set in and I seem to have forgotten about the long and lonely hours of training, sorting the diet out and trying not to dehydrate myself into a raisin on the last couple of killer miles...

Despite this, Northampton Saints have again taken up the challenge of raising much needed funds for Autism Concern by entering a team of "athletes" into the London Marathon on April 17.

Joining me on the challenge are Saints' Chief Executive and newly discovered marathon addict (this will be his third in 12 months) Allan Robson, Team Manager Paul Shields and Conference Executive Nicola Cobley.

Support for last year's challenge was excellent, providing vital funds for a terrific local charity. I hope that you are able to support us again this time around and donate once more as the charity needs the help now more than ever.

In return we all pledge to disrupt our family lives for the next three months with training plans, obtain various injuries, get overly competitive with each other and hopefully - with good luck and a fair wind - we may even beat last year's time...

Thanks!

Andrew, Allan, Paul, Nicola
