Hey
Guys :)
I have challenged myself to climb Mount Snowdon (the second largest peak in the UK) in Wales to raise money for Village Aid. I believe in making a positive difference to people’s lives and have embraced this journey with others as it will truly be a unique experience.
Village Aid strongly believes that African people are best placed to deal with the problems in Africa. Their philosophy is that African people should be offered assistance to drive change in their own lives, to achieve their own goals towards a full rich life. Village Aid works closely in partnership with locally based grassroots organisations that are at the heart of the communities which they support. They ensure that partners can go on to become well established organisations, delvering programmes within their communities, enabling the most marginalised and vulnerable to break free from poverty. They work in innovative and sustainable ways to support community development amongst the marginalised rural poor, particularly working with women and young people. Many of these communities are very isolated without roads, electricity, clean water, schools or clinics. The average family income is less than £2 a week, and infant mortality can be as high as 20%. In Sierra Leone, for example, life expectancy is only 41. Please help me to reach my target by donating what you can. Everything no matter how small WILL make a difference. Thank youSaja J
