Story

Dear Friends and Family

Hope you are well. God willing I alongside others will be embarking on an 80 km walk this December in a fundraising effort to support the Lady Fatema Trust to bring Electricity into 4000 homes in villages across Karbala.

It is a 3 days walk from Najaf to Karbala. I will be walking in the daytime with the scorching dessert sun bearing down upon me and in the evenings will rest in makeshift tents, when the blistering cold takes over and temperatures rapidly plummet.

Please kindly sponsor me and all your donations will go directly to funding this project. So please help me reach my target and play your part to giving to charity.

£150 helps in fabrication and maintenance of one solar lantern in a poor rural household – that’s just £2 per kilometer of the walk.

£300 pays for the installation and maintenance of one fixed solar lighting unit in a rural non-electrified household – that’s just £4 per kilometer of the walk.

£600 trains 4 people to install and maintain solar panels for households in 6 months –that’s just £8 per kilometer of the walk.
