Story

On 25 June 2011 myself, Paul, Amelia, Tommy & Johnny along with 12 members of our family, two dogs and 10 friends are endeavouring to walk all or some of The Three Peaks in the Yorkshire Dales in 12 hours - Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough adding up to 25 miles in total.

TOMMY our wonderful son is now 11years old and as you know suffers from Choroideremia of which there is no cure. The first clinical trials are due to start in the next few weeks which is very exciting for us all, the news we have been waiting to hear since Tommy was diagnosed. At the moment he is little affected but his sight will deteriorate with age, first with night blindness and then total loss of vision in his late 40s.

Through FIGHT FOR SIGHT -The TOMMY SALISBURY CHOROIDEREMIA COMMITTEE - are funding Prof Miguel Seabra's team at Imperial College, London where the trials are taking place. Since 2005 the Committee have raised over £190,000.00 to support this research - we could not have done this without your continued support.

Thank you for visiting our justgiving page, we can't help Tommy and others like him without your help yet again in donating to enable us to achieve our goal.

With much love and thanks to you all Emma, Paul, Amelia, Tommy & Johnny xxxx
