Story
In May 2014, our dear friends the Brooks family received devastating news, their beautiful 6 year old daughter Daisy has been diagnosed with an incurable DIPG brain tumour.
Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) is a rare and aggressive brain stem cancer that has a very low survival rate. Despite receiving pioneering brain surgery and chemotherapy, tragically Daisy died the night after her 7th birthday.
Towards the end of her life Daisy was very immobile and the whole of the Brooks family received wonderful care from the EACH Hospice in Ipswich.
On Sunday 7th December, Lizzie and I, together with Emma and Eleanor, will participate in the 3k fun run - dressed as Santas - to raise vital funds for EACH, in memory of Daisy.
