Lizzie's Fund goes LOUD for Requiem to Cancer

Story
In February 2018 we received the devastating news that our beautiful 9 year old daughter Lizzie had a rare and inoperable brain tumour. She is under the marvellous care of Great Ormond Street Hospital, where she initially took part in the BIOMEDE trial part funded by Cancer Research UK and the Brain Tumour Charity but has more recently switched to an alternative drug treatment.
We have set up Lizzie’s Fund to raise money for research into paediatric brain tumours, research which is absolutely critical as we battle this awful disease. Lizzie has been a key part of the initial fundraising, doing something she loves with a hugely successful bake sale at school and is now writing a baking recipe book to be published later this year. Already over £10,000 has been raised in her name.
Now it is the turn of mum Sally, aunt Emma and cousin Charlotte to do something we love in her name - singing! We are joining the 2018 Requiem to Cancer - this is a requiem marathon, 24 hours non-stop rehearsing and performing 3 requiem masses at St Paul’s church in Covent Garden, including Verdi and Rutter as well as a brand new piece.
The event itself is raising money for Cancer Research UK and our participation supports this. We are asking for sponsorship either directly to Cancer Research UK via the official Requiem to Cancer page (see below) or here to Lizzie’s Fund at the Brain Tumour Charity where we are able to channel fundraising to childhood brain cancers.
