We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I am raising money for the NSPCC’s Children’s Voice Appeal by taking part in the Step Change Challenge on 7th February 2010

I will be climbing all 1,037 STEPS over 38 FLOORS in a race to the top of the City's most iconic buildings - The Gherkin

The Child’s Voice Appeal aims to transform ChildLine and the NSPCC Helpline to ensure we are there for all children. The hardest thing for an abused child is to speak out. Please help give them a voice. Here are some of the ways your money will help:

£4 – Answering a child’s call for help on ChildLine

£10 – Pays for a qualified counsellor, trained in child protection, to answer calls to the NSPCC helpline.

£25 – Enables a trained practitioner to deliver 1 hour of support through the NSPCC Helpline, to protect some of the most vulnerable children in society such as babies or toddlers who cannot call for themselves.

£42 – Pays for a child who may have nowhere else to turn to receive confidential, one to one counselling through ChildLine, about an issue which is important to them.

£50 – Pays for an hour of direct one to one support for a vulnerable child and their family. This includes the time it takes to prepare and write up the session.

With the help of people like you, ChildLine and the NSPCC Helpline are already there for thousands of children and young people, but many more need your help.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. Every penny counts so please give as much as you can!!
