At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Following our successful charity partnership with Macmillan, a huge number of IE staff voted to work in a new partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society.

The Alzheimer’s Society does amazing work and is dedicated to helping those affected by dementia. In support of this new partnership and to continue with the brilliant fundraising done previously.

The CFI SMT are currently training hard to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge.

The challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales:

    Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1345m)

    Scafell Pike, in England (978m)

     Snowdon, in Wales (1085m)

The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft). The total driving distance is 462 miles.

To date, we’ve survived horrific weather and 80mph winds in our climbs up Scafell Pike and Snowdon and are looking forward to conquering Ben Nevis on the final training stage and then complete the 3 peaks challenge on the 06 April 2019 in 24 hours.

As we get closer to completing the challenge we’re looking for your support and sponsorship. We wanted to make you aware and to encourage you to sponsor us for a cause close to our hearts, so it would be greatly appreciated if you could help us to raise money for The Alzheimer’s Society by donating via our Just Giving fundraising page.
