My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Sunday 22 April 2012, we will run (possibly part walk!) the London Marathon. Running a marathon has always been a once-in-a-lifetime ambition of ours. Where better than in the capital of London and when better than the Olympic year (not to mention our 30th year!) -  2012! So it’s no more spectating from the sofa, it’s time to get our running shoes on and get training!

No doubt it will hurt, we will suffer, but we will come through and hopefully in a respectable time and more importantly raise a lot of money for charity!

Rainforest Concern is a Registered Charity in the UK, established to protect threatened natural habitats and the biodiversity they contain, together with the indigenous people who still depend on them for survival.

The world's tropical rainforests are the richest and most diverse habitats on earth. They represent a vast reservoir of knowledge and contain a wealth of ecosystems and wildlife, with many species still undiscovered.

We would really appreciate your support in sponsoring us for what it going to be a huge challenge.  Anything from £1 to £10 would be really appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
