My story

Since the birth of my second son, allergies have become a big part of my family’s life. At the age of 6 months Kiran suffered a life threatening reaction to wheat and as time went on he suffered reactions to many other foods, 14 in total, many of those severe.

Then our daughter Katie was born and at the age of 6 months she also had a severe reaction to dairy, and then again as time went on, she also was diagnosed with multiple food allergies all of which require epi pens.

Then Noah was born, crossing our fingers that he would be okay, he turns out to be intolerant to dairy, egg and other foods too.

Unfortunately there is no cure, just medication to treat and supress the symptoms.

As you could imagine life  at times can be complicated and challenging.  Routine family tasks for us are not routine, going out for meals, going on holiday, cooking, going to the pictures all have to planned as far as food and eating are concerned.

That is an insight to a life of allergies, but amongst all that my kiddies are just fab, very brave individuals that look out for each other.

Hopefully one day they might find a cure for this terrible illness and this is why I have decided to run the London 10k in July for Allergy UK.

So I'm going to put myself through torture and run :) to raise money for ALLERGY UK so come on get sponsoring and see me sweat with the support of my big bro TOM, who is a nervous wreck when he cooks for my kiddies!!!!
