500 mile charity challenge · 18 September 2014

The Islamic Society of Britain (ISB) is a community based charity and not-for-profit company. Established in 1990, we were one of the first organisations that sought to evolve a uniquely British flavour to Islam. We believe that charity should begin at home, supporting needy causes here in the UK.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2010 I met a homeless person in Leicester who wouldn't accept a parcel containing essential food items because he had to carry all his possessions with him.  This meeting inspired me to find out about the difficulties and plight of those who are homeless, destitute and living in poverty in Leicester. Since 2010 I have been managing the ISB Eat'n'Meet project and with an amazing team of volunteers we have been feeding and supporting homeless people every week since then.  I am now hoping to raise awareness of the project and with your help raise at least £500 of our team target of £6000 to keep the project open. Please donate generously and help me to meet my target.
