The World Federation of KSIMC is eradicating poverty within the poorest and deprived communities across the globe, by providing access to education, healthcare, promoting economic development, securing basic rights to food, clean water and sanitation, and building spiritual and vibrant communities.

Story

The mother looked at her two small children with teary eyes. The Syrian crisis had been tough on her young family.

The violence had reached breaking point. They were forced to leave their native country and flee to Lebanon. She had abandoned everything: her possessions, her house, her job.

Her son hadn't stopped crying all morning. His tongue was parched. His small stomach growled impatiently with the pangs of hunger. But she had nothing to give him.

"Will the trucks come tomorrow?" she asked. Vehicles bearing food from distant lands is her only salvation. She kissed her infant and raised her hands in prayer.

From Monday 1 July I will be living off £1.25 (on average) for five days:

The story of the mother and her hungry children is heartbreaking. What is even worse is that it is commonplace in the region.

The answer to the mother's question "Will the trucks come tomorrow?" lies with you. Sponsor me to live off £6.25 over a period of five days, and The World Federation will be able to provide food, clothing, shelter and other basic essentials to this family and many more.
