We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss

Story

Some friends proposed the idea of a charity ride a while back, Tower of London to the Eiffel Tower in under 24 hours. That's 200 miles. I wasn't that enthused about it at the time, and the idea ticked on. One of the gang unfortunately can't make it, so I've stepped into the breach.  I've never ridden that far before, this is not going to be easy. We won't be cruising with cafe stops, it'll be non-stop from London to Paris (OK, we might have a little snooze on the ferry) keeping our chosen charities in mind all the way.

I've chosen to try to raise money for RNIB to try to make a small contribution towards the wonderful work they do to help those who've lost their sight for whatever reason. I can't imagine what that must be like - anything we can do to help I think is a wonderful thing. So please give generously to support such a worthy cause.

Just so you know, I won't take a penny of the donations to cover the cost of the trip - anything you donate goes directly to the RNIB.

Thanks very much for your support.

About the charity

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
