EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

Hi!

A group of us will be taking part in the Great South Run on the 22nd October to raise money for both Headway and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The reason for this is that our friend Tom Harris has recently had a bad accident whilst on holiday in Slovenia, leaving him with serious injuries to the head and brain. Whilst he continues to improve day by day we are showing our support both for him and his family during this difficult time. Tom was planning on participating in the run himself to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of his close friend Sam Hooker. We are trying to raise money for both charities in the event that he is unable to take part as it means a lot to Tom.

Thank you for anything that you donate as it all means so much and will help such a great cause. Hopefully I'll be able to go the distance!
