Hull 10K 2015 · 14 June 2015 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

In 2012 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and was lucky enough to be treated through the Teenage Cancer Trust. Those of you who kept updated through my blog (www.samforthblog.wordpress.com) may remember the fantastic facilities and care they provided me with during a pretty tough time. For those who don't know, the "TCT" provide amazing care and support for young people through their specialist facilities at 28 hospitals across the UK.

I am fortunate enough to have been in remission since June 2013 and the Hull 10k is the first event where I have the opportunity to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust to help them continue their amazing work. I am hoping this is the first of many challenging events, but lets see how I get on with this before setting the next challenge.......

Please donate if you are in the position to do so........
