London Triathlon 2017 · 22 July 2017 to 23 July 2017 ·

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we’re moving further and faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. A cure really can’t wait

Story

My partner’s brother Chris was diagnosed in March 2016 with an aggressive brain tumour (Grade IV Glioblastoma Multiforme).  Chris is only 43 years old with a 16 year old daughter Zoe and is admirably cared for by his wife Racheal but without the support of The Brain Tumour Charity, the last year would have been even tougher than it has for Chris and his family.

Chris sadly lost his fight on 2 June 2017 but this is still a great cause and I'm proud to be participating in Chris's memory.

When the opportunity arose to participate in the London Triathlon as part of TSB’s #beattheboss initiative I thought it would be a good idea to raise funds for this charity which does such great work.

If you can spare a small donation, anything will be gratefully received by this very worthwhile charity.

By the way I have no chance of beating the boss and I will be relieved just to cross the finish line but I can’t think of a better reason to do all the training that this event will require!
